Please join the Charleston Lawyers Chapter for a review and preview of SCOTUS' terms. This term’s long list of blockbuster cases included issues regarding presidential immunity, Second Amendment rights, First Amendment speech rights, abortion, state regulation of social media platforms, administrative courts, and—perhaps most significant—a sharp decrease in the deference given federal administrative agencies via overruling the Chevron case. And the next term is likewise shaping up to include several notable cases, including on the authority of states to regulate gender transition treatments for minors and on state authority to regulate online pornography distribution to minors.
