An Oregon native, Ms. Wight has had a distinguished career in public service and law enforcement, spanning over two decades.
Ms. Wight began her legal journey after earning her Juris Doctor from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2003. She also holds a Master of Science in Biology from California State University, Chico, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the College of Idaho. Her career includes serving as an attorney for the Federal Bureau of Prisons and as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in both the Northern District of California and the District of Oregon. During her tenure in Oregon, she held leadership roles, including Deputy Chief of the Organized and Violent Crime Section.
As U.S. Attorney, Ms. Wight was a member of the Attorney General's Advisory Committee, representing the Ninth Circuit, and contributed to national subcommittees on critical issues such as controlled substances, violent crime, child exploitation, and Native American affairs. Her dedication to justice and community outreach has left a lasting impact on Oregon and beyond.
