AI on the Bench: Should Judges Be Replaced by Algorithms?

Puerto Rico Lawyer Chapter

El Cairo
352 Calle Ensenada
San Juan, PR 00920
This event is not open to the Press.

Please join the Puerto Rico Lawyers Chapter for a dinner reception featuring a live debate on artificial intelligence and judicial decision-making. As AI tools increasingly influence legal research, drafting, and adjudication, lawyers and judges must confront pressing questions of competence, confidentiality, supervision of technology, candor to the court, and the integrity of the judicial process.

The program will specifically address compliance under the newly adopted Puerto Rico Rules of Professional Conduct that went into effect last year, including the duty of technological competence and related ethical obligations when using AI in practice.
