AI and the Rule of Law

Triangle Lawyer Chapter

Smith Anderson
150 Fayetteville Street, Suite 2800
Raleigh, NC 27601
This event is not open to the Press.

Please join the Triangle Lawyer Chapter for their next event!

Kevin Frazier, Director of the AI Innovation and Law Program at the University of Texas School of Law, will examine the importance of lawyers adopting and understanding AI to ensure the rule of law endures this technological moment.

AI is already testing the courts--introducing new forms of evidence and adding to backlogged dockets--and our election processes--complicating the ability of voters to identify authentic campaign messages. It's likely that other core parts of our constitutional order, such as the separation of powers, will likewise face challenges from this technology. The proper response to these tests will emerge from lawyers, provided they are well-versed in these tools.

Professor Frazier will also field questions on how AI is changing legal education and what are the best practices for adopting AI at your law firm or organization.
