Ohio Solicitor General

The Office of the Solicitor General represents the State of Ohio and its agencies on appeals in the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the Ohio Supreme Court, and other state and federal courts.

Before his appointment as Ohio Solicitor General, Mr. Gaiser worked at Jones Day as a litigator and counselor with experience representing and advising clients in trials and appeals and before administrative agencies in venues across the country. He served as a law clerk to Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. of the Supreme Court of the United States. He also served as a law clerk to Judge Neomi Rao of the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals and to Judge Edith H. Jones of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Before law school, Mr. Gaiser was a management consultant and a graduate fellow for anti-poverty studies at a research institution in Washington, D.C. He currently serves on the alumni board of Hillsdale College.
