Adam Mathews

Adam Mathews

State Representative, Ohio, and Attorney, Ashbrook Byrne Kresge

Born and raised in Southwest Ohio, Adam Mathews currently resides in Lebanon with his wife Amanda and four children. As a City Council member, he advocated for pro-family and pro-business legislation, collaborating with local businesses and chambers of commerce to ensure downtown establishments remained operational during government shutdowns. He also sponsored a budget that retired over $2 million in debt and attracted numerous new businesses and large developments to the area.

After graduating from St. Xavier High School, Adam pursued a degree in mechanical engineering and political science at the University of Notre Dame. He graduated from Notre Dame's Engineering Honors Program, where he conducted research on modeling brain material for the US Army, aimed at protecting soldiers from shrapnel and concussions caused by IEDs. His work in engineering also included stints at Procter & Gamble's diaper division and research and development for the Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program.

Adam went back to Notre Dame for his law degree and has since worked as a small business and patent attorney, helping inventors, innovators, and entrepreneurs navigate legal barriers to success. As a partner in a small firm, he has seen firsthand how regulations can hinder growth and prosperity, and he is committed to creating well-paying jobs in Ohio to support happy families and community involvement.

Adam has had numerous opportunities to act on his beliefs while serving his community. He served as Chairman of Elizabeth's New Life Center, a network of pro-life women's centers throughout Southwest Ohio, to help the unborn. He also served as a member of the Lebanon Parks & Recreation Board, a junior high football coach, and a District Chair for the Boy Scouts. He has testified before the General Assembly on multiple occasions, advocating for bills such as the Heartbeat Bill and the Human Life Protection Act.
