Mike Dimino, who is a professor at Widener Law Commonwealth and a member of our Free Speech and Election Law executive committee, has published this op-ed in The Hill: https://thehill.com/opinion/finance/498906-ending-lockdowns-is-a-decision-for-the-people-not-just-the-experts. As he argues, policymakers should be advised -- but not controlled -- by experts, whether the experts are scientists at the CDC or unaccountable bureaucrats in other government agencies.

The op-ed follows on one Dimino published last month, in which he warned against the dangers of giving the government too much power to respond to emergencies: https://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/493346-government-should-be-limited-even-during-a-pandemic.
