William Peterson was appointed by Attorney General Paxton as Solicitor General. Before joining the Office of the Attorney General, Mr. Peterson was a partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius. He previous served as a law clerk to Justice Clarence Thomas of the Supreme Court of the United States and Judge Edith Jones of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Mr. Peterson received a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and an undergraduate degree in Engineering and Applied Sciences from the California Institute of Technology.
