To All Graduating 3Ls:
As you are about to finish law school and embark on a new journey, we would like to remain an active part of your professional career and continue to be your link to the legal and public policy worlds.
As a student member about to graduate, you are eligible for 1 year of free membership in the Lawyers Division. You will receive a number of benefits with your lawyer membership, including discounts to chapter events, CLE credit, and the opportunity to closely network with prominent policy officials, judges, scholars, and business leaders.
For those of you who sign up for our offer by April 15, 2024, we will mail you a Federalist Society graduation cord and challenge coin. We hope that you will proudly represent your FedSoc colors by wearing the cord at your graduation ceremony and that you will display your challenge coin proudly in your office. Throughout your career, whenever you relocate to a new city where a Lawyers Chapter is located, please email a photo of your challenge coin for a complimentary lunch in your new city. *In order for the automatic discount to apply, we must have your law school graduation date on file. Follow the steps below to confirm or update your law school graduation date and then follow the steps to renew as a Lawyer.
This offer is only good once and can only be applied to your first year out of law school.
After April 15, 2024, you may still sign up for the free 1 year membership,
but the graduation cord and challenge coin offer is no longer valid.
How to claim your free year as a Lawyer:
- Confirm or update your contact information and law school graduation date by visiting https://fedsoc.org/portal/profile/personal-info.
- To renew your membership as a Lawyer for free, go to the My Membership section of the Member Portal here: https://fedsoc.org/portal/membership.
- Click the Renew link on your Student Membership and then find the free Lawyer Membership option among the possible renewal options.
- Click the orange Renew button and then complete the renewal process.
