Judge Feldman has served as a United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana since 1983.  He currently is a judge on the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, the specially authorized federal court that reviews applications for warrants related to national security investigations and whose seven judges are selected by the Chief Justice of the United States.
