Description

Cutting edge litigation solutions. This panel will discuss the rise of the so-called “conservative plaintiff’s bar.” In recent years, we’ve seen more conservative litigation boutiques pop up and carefully orchestrate successful legal challenges to various laws or precedents that are inconsistent with the Constitution and our division of government. To that end, we’ve also seen a rise in public interest groups focusing on specific causes, filing amicus briefs, and partnering with Big Law to do the same. So too with the importance of State SGs becoming the people’s lawyers. From Affirmative Action/DEI programs (litigation boutiques), to religious liberty (public interest and Big Law), to gender identity laws (state Solicitors General ), the panel can explore how we got to where we are and where we are going.

Featuring:

  • Ben Aguiñaga, Solicitor General of Louisiana
  • Jordan Campbell, Founding Partner, Campbell Miller Payne, PLLC
  • Judd Stone, Partner & Founder, Stone Hilton PLLC; Former Solicitor General of Texas
  • Natalie Thompson, Senior Counsel, Alliance Defending Freedom
  • Moderator: Chance Fletcher, Associate, Hayes and Boone, LLP
