Please make sure your new 2021-2022 Chapter President has this information (if you haven't already sent us your chapter's election information).

What is the SLC? This meeting will bring together our Chapter Presidents from around the country and give us the opportunity to plan, share valuable ideas, and discuss strategies to make next year our most successful ever. (Please note: there will be no livestream or virtual option for the conference, but we will be happy to go over materials with your chapter should no officers be able to attend in lieu of the incoming Chapter President.)

What precautions are we taking? The National Office and the Lansdowne Resort are working together to maintain a sanitary environment and follow social distancing guidelines consistent with Virginia state law.  More details will be available closer to the date in a confirmation memo in July.

What will we reimburse? The National Office will reimburse your travel (flight, train or mileage/toll expenses should you opt to drive) of one officer per school after the conference. We will bill to our master account a private hotel room for each newly elected Chapter President (or one substitute officer in lieu of the President, if the Chapter President cannot attend, attended last year, is thinking of transferring, or will study off campus for a semester) from each school.

Who can attend the SLC? Only one officer from each school may attend (in the case of Co-Presidents, your Co-Presidents will have to flip a coin). Please note that if you are thinking of transferring law schools next semester, yet you still plan on attending the conference, you must inform us of this before you register. We cannot reimburse international flights. If you will be studying or working overseas this summer, please send another officer in your place.

Schedule: A detailed schedule will be sent out to registrants after the registration deadline (June 15th), but we can tell you that the welcoming reception begins on Friday, July 23rd from 8:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. and the program will end promptly at noon on Sunday, July 25th.

*IMPORTANT: We only have 160 rooms available at the Lansdowne Resort and we have over 200 chapters. Early registrants will receive priority in being booked at the Lansdowne. Registrant #161 and onward will be booked in a nearby hotel such as a Marriott Springhill Suites (5 minute drive) from the hotel. If you haven't made the cutoff to stay at the Lansdowne, we will inform you when you register. So please register early. If you're working in the Northern Virginia area this summer and do not require a room, please let us know.
