Katherine R. Slivensky

Katherine (’25) was born and raised in Brazil to a Greek family. She moved to the U.S. in 2015 to pursue her undergraduate education at Michigan State University (“MSU”), where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa from James Madison College. At MSU, Katherine served as Student Body President and on the executive board of the Association of Big Ten Students (a conglomerate of all Big Ten student governments). Before law school, she worked as a policy analyst at a Department of Energy nuclear physics laboratory and later in the compliance team of a Fortune 500 financial services firm. At the University of Michigan Law School, Katherine served on the executive board of the Latinx Law Student Association at Michigan Law and the Federalist Society. As a 2L, Katherine externed at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan for Chief Judge Hala Y. Jarbou. She interned at Jones Day in Chicago for her 1L summer and returned to Jones Day for her 2L summer, where she will join as an associate in 2025.
