Ethan Harper is Chief Counsel to U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt and for the Senate Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on the Constitution. He oversees all legal issues and advises the Senator on his Judiciary Committee portfolio including constitutional law, administrative law, judicial nominations, election law, federal criminal law, cultural values, technology policy, immigration policy, antitrust policy, and intellectual property law. Ethan clerked for the Honorable W. Duane Benton of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. He has also worked for U.S. Senator Josh Hawley, then-Missouri Solicitor General D. John Sauer, and Cooper & Kirk, PLLC.
Ethan received his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he served as President of the Harvard Federalist Society and as a Notes Editor on the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy. He earned his B.A. from New York University. Ethan is a native of Fayette, Missouri.
