Michael Ellis is General Counsel at Rumble, a privately-owned company working in the video-sharing platform industry. Michael has previously served as General Counsel of the National Security Agency (NSA) and in several roles with the Trump administration including Deputy Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Intelligence Programs at the National Security Council (NSC). Prior to his service at the White House, Michael spent time as a visiting fellow at The Heritage Foundation’s Meese Center for Legal and Judicial Studies and as General Counsel of the U.S. House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Michael clerked for Judge Jeffrey Sutton of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit and for Judge Amul Thapar, then of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. Michael is a graduate of Yale Law School and Dartmouth College and has served as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve since 2007.
