Eric Hamilton is the Solicitor General for the State of Nebraska. As Solicitor General, he is the highest-ranking litigator for the State and the principal legal advisor to the Attorney General. Before joining the Nebraska Department of Justice, Hamilton served as an Assistant Solicitor General in the Texas Attorney General’s office. He also was as an Associate Counsel to the President in the Office of White House Counsel. Hamilton previously practiced at Williams & Connolly LLP in Washington, D.C. He began his legal career as a law clerk for Judge Thomas M. Hardiman on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Hamilton holds degrees from Stanford Law School and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
