Paul Beaudry

Director of Broadband Policy and Regulatory Affairs, TELUS Communications Inc.

Paul Beaudry is Director of Broadband Policy and Regulatory Affairs at TELUS Communications Inc. In that capacity, he provides advice on regulatory matters and advocates before Canada’s telecommunications and broadcasting regulators on internet policy, economic regulation, programming distribution and competition policy.

Mr. Beaudry formerly practiced law at Stikeman Elliott LLP, where he specialized in antitrust and foreign investment law. He is a member of the Federalist Society’s Telecommunications & Electronic Media Practice Group Executive Committee, and a director of the International Institute of Communication’s Canada Chapter.

From 2014 to 2018, he was a research associate at the Montreal Economic Institute, where he co-authored an annual report on the state of competition in Canada’s telecommunications market and provided regular commentary on technology policy issues. He is a graduate of the University of Montreal’s Faculty of Law, and is a member of the Quebec Bar.
