Assistant General Counsel - Director of Judicial Appointments, Executive Office of Governor Ron DeSantis

Meredith Pardo is an Assistant General Counsel and the Director of Judicial Appointments for Governor DeSantis.  She oversees the appointment of all of the judges across the state as well as appointments to the Judicial Nominating Commissions, Judicial Qualifications Commission, and the Judges of Compensation Claims.  Her legal portfolio consists of the oversight of agencies including the Department of Corrections, Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Department of Juvenile Justice, and Department of Transportation.  Prior to working for the Governor, Meredith clerked for Chief Justice Carlos Muñiz for three years at the Florida Supreme Court.  

Meredith graduated magna cum laude from Ave Maria School of Law, finishing in the top ten of her class and receiving the Mary, Queen of Lawyers Award, which is given to the graduate that the law school would most want defending it in its greatest hour of need.  During law school, Meredith served as Editor in Chief of the law review, spent one year clerking for federal district court judge, and one year clerking for federal magistrate judge.
