Ellen Wittman is a junior at Miami University of Ohio where she is studying marketing with a minor in political science. Ellen is the president and founder of the Students for Life group at the University. In the fall of 2017, the group wanted to put up its annual pro-life display but the University would not approve the event unless the group agreed to place “trigger warnings” around the display. University officials also sought to apply a complex, burdensome permit policy to student speech. After ADF filed a lawsuit on behalf of the group, the school agreed to settle the lawsuit by changing its unconstitutional policies. ADF has prevailed in over 400 free speech victories on public college campuses across this nation.
