Amanda Neely serves as General Counsel to Senator Rob Portman and Deputy Chief Counsel for the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. She has previously served in several Capitol Hill offices including as Oversight Counsel for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Ways and Means from 2014 to 2017. Ms. Neely clerked for then-Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit David B. Sentelle from 2011 to 2012, as well as practiced law as an associate attorney in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP.
Ms. Neely holds degrees from Princeton University and Duke University School of Law.
