Special Advisor to the International and National Security Law Practice Group

Adam R. Pearlman is a former Associate Deputy General Counsel of the United States Department of Defense. He previously held several positions in the U.S. Department of Justice, and during law school interned in the White House Counsel’s Office.  He is a Special Advisor to and member of the Executive Committee of the Federalist Society’s International and National Security Law Practice Group, and is a former vice chairman of the ABA Section of International Law’s committees on national security, and aerospace and defense.  He is presently a liaison to the ABA's Rule of Law Initiative, and previously served as a liaison to the ABA's Standing Committee on Law and National Security. 

 Mr. Pearlman is the Editor-in-Chief of a forthcoming volume on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, and has been co-editor of the annually published U.S. Intelligence Community Law Sourcebook since 2011.  His articles have appeared in such publications as the Harvard National Security Journal, Stanford Law & Policy Review, and Intelligence & National Security.  He is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
