In 2016, Bob Barr and Dean Reuter joined a distinguish group of contributors to edit and write Liberty's Nemesis: The Unchecked Expansion of the State. This wide-ranging collection of essays powerfully demonstrated how the growing American administrative state has steadily undermined democratic self-government, reduced the sphere of individual liberty, and burdened the free market and economic growth.

Importantly, the Federalist papers reflect the Framers' perspective that the proper separation of powers and a strong, representative Legislative branch are essential to guarding against these trends. How has the Congress failed to live up to proscribed responsibilities and how can it regain it's essential role in our constitutional order? Panelist Professor Christopher Walker and Moderator David Applegate will join the authors to tackle these and other related topics.
